Acting Journey

Training

Oryan began acting in high school and working in commercials and voiceovers. He went on to earn his B.A. in Theatre and Film/Media Studies from Arizona State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, where he studied Meisner under Marshall Mason. He has since trained with coaches Will Wallace, Sally Jackson, Marco Perella, Maurice Moore, Devin Shacket, among others, and completed a summer intensive at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. Oryan continues to hone his craft in Lisa Milinazzo’s graduate-level “Directing Actors” classes at NYU and Columbia.

Life Experience

After first training for the stage, Oryan has worked across a wide range of mediums — appearing on TV shows like Chicago Fire and The Blacklist, in films such as The Devil’s Candy, in music videos for artists like Maren Morris, and in national commercials for brands like Nestlé Crunch, and numerous voice over campaigns.

Versatility

Born in Spokane, Washington and raised on a horse farm, Oryan grew up surrounded by the mountains and lakes of the Pacific Northwest, where he became an avid snow skier and rock climber. His curiosity and passion for adventure have taken him across all 50 states and 26 countries - living in Mexico, China, and Belgium, and volunteering at an orphanage in India - experiences that continue to shape his perspective as both a person and an artist. It was in a freshman-year acting class, however, where he discovered a love for the craft that sent him on his path as an actor.

Teaching

In addition to his work as an actor, Oryan has taught acting to both kids and adults in Texas and New York City. He has led his own workshop, The Actor’s Toolbox, taught at acting and filmmaking summer camps, and worked with high school theatre programs. He continues to coach actors privately for auditions.
